Yes. The first 1000 memberships to the Co-Pharm program are being offered on a completely free basis (each membership is being sponsored directly by the Nova Scotia Co-operative Council). There’s no catch.

The Nova Scotia Co-operative Council will fund 1000 year-long Co-Pharm memberships for Nova Scotians to help ease the financial strain of prescription medications and other covered costs.

Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, many Nova Scotians are facing financial uncertainty due to job losses or budget cuts and with the rampant layoffs also comes concern of losing health insurance coverage achieved through employers. Co-Pharm can help you pay less for roughly 131 prescription medications as well as certain types of specified mental health, and other, therapeutic practices.

The full retail value of a 12-month Co-Pharm membership is up to $95.40.

The Nova Scotia Co-operative Council is the economic development agency and advocate for the Co-operative and Credit Union sectors of Nova Scotia. The Nova Scotia Co-operative Council is a not-for-profit organization that has been active in Nova Scotia for more than 70 years.
